Our story
Why The Meltdown Room exists
I’m Sunshine—a mother of six, a Mimi, and Momma to Steven’s two children. Our blended family has taught me that everyone experiences the world differently, and everyone deserves patience, understanding, and somewhere to feel welcome.
I also know what it means to feel overwhelmed and to rebuild after domestic violence. Those experiences shaped what I wanted this space to offer: somewhere to let things out, find practical support, enjoy a playful break, or simply take a breath.
Steven’s work with technology helped open the door to building this project. I brought my own experiences and ideas into creating The Meltdown Room.
You don’t need to explain your whole story to spend time here. Find a room that suits you, explore a little, and make yourself comfortable.
